If the Masters of Art Were Alive Today, How Would They Photograph You?

The You Are Mona Lisa Project is my answer to that question.

I believe we are all two people.

The person we are.

And the person we were born to be.

It's that second person I am interested in photographing.

You see, still to this day no one is completely sure about who Mona Lisa was. The current consensus is that she was Lisa Gherardini del Giocondo, the wife of a wealthy silk merchant in Florence. But even recently there has been some doubt thrown on this with the revelation of a second painting underneath her. Some now believe the image we see could be the lover of a member of the Medici family who ruled Florence at the time, while Lisa Gherardini lies beneath.

The one thing everyone seems to agree on is the fact that she was a woman without the high status of royalty, religious hierarchy or otherwise famous in her day. She was just like us. And somehow she became the most famous painting in the world.

The You Are Mona Lisa Project is the art and story of how I reveal the masterpiece that's inside every single one of us.

It is the proof that you already are everything you want to be.

It is my answer to how Renoir, Monet or Degas would photograph you if they were alive today.
